All the twenty Black portraits have been completed. Oil on canvas 152 x 107cm (5' x 3'6")

So far there are three actual portraits of those released. Oil on canvas 60 x 80cm and two actual portraits painted of friends of those who have died in honour and in remembrance. These two portraits are of Andrei Sannikov and Guillermo Farinas.

The names of the human rights champions in The Black Portraits can be seen on the Left.

For more on ANDREI SANNIKOV AND GUILLERMO FARIÑAS see Oleg Bebenin and Orlando Zaparta Tamayo respectively.

This is an ongoing story - the portraits are still being painted.
